Hoptoberfest – a celebration of German beer and food at Northbridge Brewing Company.
Nothing says summer is on the way like Oktoberfest and this year Northbridge Brewing Company by Beerland is taking over the Piazza for a celebration of German food, beer, fun and frivolity.
The aptly named Hoptoberfest is on Saturday 15 October from 2pm until late, with traditional German beer on-tap, including Beerland’s house-brewed Marzen, plus a Weihstephan tent.
Spinning the decks on the day will be a range of DJs, including Triple J Breakfast presenter Alex Dyson, while Perth street artist Fajar Sugiarto – better known as Fudge – will be creating a stunning mural on the wall at NBC live throughout the event.
Fudge came to Perth from West Java at the age of three and is renowned for his murals which are best described as being quick, rough and highly texturized.
If you think all that sounds wunderbar, there’s more. A range of food trucks will be parked around the Piazza serving authentic German food, plus there will be competitions and games for the chance to win great prizes.
For the chance to be the ‘Herr’ or ‘Frau’ of Hoptoberfest, including entry for you and three mates, plus the chance to ‘tap’ the first keg, punters should head to the NBC Facebook page.
Hoptoberfest tickets are $35 each which includes entry into the Piazza Beer Garden, two drink tokens and one food token. So, dust-off the dirndl dresses and lederhosen for the most authentic Oktoberfest celebration this side of Munich!
