Darling Darling sports limestone walls, timber rafters and an old-world maritime theme that will make you feel like you’ve stepped straight below deck on an old pirate ship. It’s designed by world-renowned bar designer Ashley Sutton taking inspiration from a seafarer’s tipple spot in the 1800s and the attention to detail is seriously next level.

Convenients is a dimly lit, small bar on Lake Street pumping out rock ‘n’ roll and dirty late-night burgers. As soon as you enter through the fridge door you’ll be in a whole other world surrounded by neon lights, the hottest indie rock bands and a whole lot of booze.

Hula Bula Bar

Step off the streets of Perth and into a tropical paradise at Hula Bula Bar where you can drink yourself silly with their tiki mug cocktails.

You’ll be transported to the South Pacific with a focus on all things rum. Get your hands on some seriously delicious rum-based tiki cocktails- if not for the taste then definitely for the unique presentation.

Alfred’s Pizzeria

Tucked downstairs on Barrack Street, Alfred’s Pizzeria is good at three things: pizza, alcohol and rock ‘n’ roll.

Be greeted by the neon signage and descend into a fun, gangster-ish themed basement bar. Their pizza is out-of-this-world and the cocktail menu ain’t half bad either with a Tommy’s Margarita, Daiquiri and Negroni featuring.

It’s an American whiskey bar in the heart of Perth, and Varnish on King have nailed the quirky, unique bar brief.

This chic basement bar has an extensive selection of bourbon and whiskey with some tasty bites on offer too like their fudgy pretzel brownie or some pork prime ribs. It oozes class and the dark, moody lighting offers the perfect spot for an intimate date night.

Frisk. Small Bar

As the name suggests, Frisk is only small, but it doesn’t need size to stock copious amounts of gin inside.

It has over 180 bottles packed to the brim in its space, so your next gin o’clock definitely needs to be celebrated here. A lot of the interior is recycled materials giving it an artsy, laidback feel and not taking any attention away from the main star of the show- booze.
