Darling Darling sports limestone walls, timber rafters and an old-world maritime theme that will make you feel like you’ve stepped straight below deck on an old pirate ship. Tucked downstairs on Barrack Street, Alfred’s Pizzeria is good at three things: pizza, alcohol and rock ‘n’ roll.

Be greeted by the neon signage and descend into a fun, gangster-ish themed basement bar. Their pizza is out-of-this-world and the cocktail menu ain’t half bad either with a Tommy’s Margarita, Daiquiri and Negroni featuring.

It’s an American whiskey bar in the heart of Perth, and Varnish on King have nailed the quirky, unique bar brief.

This chic basement bar has an extensive selection of bourbon and whiskey with some tasty bites on offer too like their fudgy pretzel brownie or some pork prime ribs. It oozes class and the dark, moody lighting offers the perfect spot for an intimate date night.

As the name suggests, Frisk is only small, but it doesn’t need size to stock copious amounts of gin inside.
