Latest Perth COVID-19 report sees 3 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Western Australia overnight.

Health Minister Roger Cook provided the latest Perth COVID-19 update today confirming 3 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded overnight in Western Australia.

Of the three new cases two are crew members on a bulk carrier off the coast of Port Hedland.

Authorities were alerted by the ship’s captain advising there were two workers with flu-like symptoms

Mr Cook said two nurses in full PPE were flown onto the ship to test the crew members who then returned positive tests today.

The other new COVID-19 case is a returned traveller from the UK who is in hotel quarantine.

All confirmed cases are males aged between 34-51.

Western Australia has now recorded 668 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

9 active cases remain in the state.
