1. Protests across America as people “sick and tired” of stay at home orders

Protestors in States including Washington and Michigan lined the streets on foot and in cars to protest the lockdown of their cities.

For some, it was a breach of their freedom, for others the economic ramifications were getting too much.

2. One in five Aussies buying more booze than pre-covid

And is it really any surprise, given the marketing of “14 day iso packs” and “quarantine survival kits” filled with liquor.

The Foundation of Alcohol Research and Education said there had been a 300 per cent increase in marketing of alcohol online since the virus began and it was paying off for the companies.

More than 25% of Australians reported in a survey they were buying more booze and almost 30% of those said they were now drinking daily.

Another 23% said they drank because of stress and anxiety, likely caused by the pandemic.

But in WA at least, the Government launched an information campaign urging people to consider their health and “think again” before pouring that next glass of wine.

3. Banksy shows us what “working from home” looks like for him

The mysterious street artist Banksy has had to keep himself busy while not being allowed on the street.

The solution? Paint the bathroom walls with rats.

Banksy said his wife “hated it” when he worked from home, posting photos of the wrecked bathroom.

4. New research suggests COVID has affect on brains

Doctors from China and the US are reporting coronavirus may have neurological manifestations.

“We’re seeing a significant increase in the number of patients with large strokes,” Dr Johanna Fifi from NYC said.

While it’s not yet clear how the disease leads to strokes, but theories so far say it may be was possible inflammation in the body could damage blood vessels in the brain.

5. WW2 vet raises millions walking laps

The 99-year-old veteran is using the lockdown to raise money for those in need.

Captain Tom Moore is aiming complete 100 laps (of his 25-meter yard) before the end of the month.

He originally raised $100,000 for the NHS in England.

But, as of this week, Capt. Moore raised $6 million pounds.
