1) Trump says “she’ll be right” to medicine doctors stress won’t work against COVID-19

The US now has 29 million pills of an anti-malaria drug for coronavirus treatment.

The only problem? Top doctors say there’s no evidence it will have any affect. Luckily, Trumpy has the perfect answer to such criticism: “What do you have to lose? It may work or it may not work.” Thank goodness for that.

2) New COVID-19 patient has dry cough and… stripes?

It seems none of New York is safe, with the latest coronavirus case confirmed in none other than a 4-year-old tiger in Bronx Zoo. The Zoo even reported the female tiger – called Nadia – developed a dry cough.

3) Bin night during COVID-19 = The fashion week of our time

Australians have been urged not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.

But many have found one very necessary outdoor activity in which to express themselves and flaunt the best of their wardrobe. In what is being dubbed “Bin Isolation Outing”, the usually mundane task is now turning into an amateur catwalk.

4) Victorian man breaks out of hotel quarantine; faces court

Hundreds of people who entered WA in the last week are being put up at hotels in a strict quarantine. One of those people was not so keen on staying. The 35-year-old Victorian man repeatedly sneaked out of his prison – AKA Travelodge hotel – to see his girlfriend and faced Perth Magistrate Court as a result.

5) Learner driver fined for… learning to drive

Police are cracking down on anyone travelling without a good reason, and apparently, a driving lesson with mum does not qualify. The Victorian L-Plater was smacked with a $1652 fine, something his mother said they would be contesting in court.
