AFL Round 8 fixtures have been released.

The AFL have just released the fixtures for Round 8 as Optus Stadium will play host to 2 big matches.

Sunday afternoon West Coast will take on Collingwood and then Monday night football will be on at Optus Stadium with Fremantle taking on Geelong.

The most exciting thing about the Round 8 announcement is that footy will be on from Thursday until Monday.

  • Gold Coast v Western Bulldogs, Metricon Stadium, 5.40pm AWST

Friday, July 24

  • GWS v Richmond, Giants Stadium, 5.50pm AWST

Saturday, July 25

  • North Melbourne v Carlton, Gabba, 11.05am AWST

  • Port Adelaide v St Kilda, Adelaide Oval, 5.40pm AWST

Sunday, July 26

  • Adelaide v Essendon, Adelaide Oval, 11.05am AWST
  • West Coast v Collingwood, Optus Stadium, 1.35pm AWST
  • Melbourne v Brisbane, Metricon Stadium, 4.10pm AWST

Monday, July 27

  • Fremantle v Geelong, Optus Stadium, 6.10pm AWST

As Western Australia has not yet reached Phase 5 of COVID-19

roadmap, Optus Stadium will still only be allowed to hold 50% capacity for the round 8 games, meaning approximately only 30,000 fans will be able to attend the games.
