There’s a lot to like about the Fremantle Dockers right now!

The Fremantle Dockers come into round 15 fresh off the bye and will be looking to get their third win a row when they face the Lions this weekend. The Fremantle Dockers celebrated an impressive win in their last game, which was great to see for skipper Nat Fyfe’s 150th, and I think the confidence amongst the young players is really growing.

Some very happy news for Freo fans with the squad announcement this week, with the return of Alex Pearce from a thumb injury and Michael Walters from suspension. Pearce and Walters return to the extended squad along with Cam Sutcliffe, Ethan Hughes and Scott Jones. They come in for an injured Connor Blakely, who looks to have seriously injured his knee and is set to spend 4-6 weeks on the sidelines.

The Brisbane Lions head west on the back of a 28-point defeat at the hands of GWS last weekend. The game saw Lion Harris Andrews concussed in a sickening incident with GWS’s Jeremy Cameron, which actually caused bleeding on Andrews’ brain. He will obviously miss this game, along with Sam Mayes and Zac Bailey who have both been omitted. They have been replaced with Daniel McStay, Mitch Robinson, Ryan Bastinac, Jacob Allison, Mitchell Hinge (new), Jack Barrett and Jack Frost. The Lion’s will be looking to record their second win of the season, and to make Stephan Martin’s 150th game one to remember.

The Fremantle Dockers would have a strong belief that they can get the job done this weekend. The youngsters have really been playing their roles well, Bailey Banfield, Andrew Brayshaw and Adam Cerra have been exciting. Brennan Cox improves with every game, being rewarded with a NAB Rising Star nomination in round 12.

I’m tipping the Fremantle Dockers to beat the Brisbane Lions by 19 points!
