I’m on cloud nine as a Fremantle Dockers supporter at the moment, can they make it four wins in a row?

The Dockers fly east to take on the Pies at the MCG on Friday night, in what will be a true test for the young, up and coming Fremantle side. Freo have won their last three games and will be looking to continue that form as they slowly make their way up the ladder. Not only was I stoked with the Fremantle Dockers getting the win against Port Adelaide last week, I had a little win of my own, coming out on top for this round in my footy tipping comp! *Fist pump*

barlowThe Dockers had an awesome win at Domain Stadium last week against Port Adelaide, Michael Barlow having an absolute BLINDER in a career best performance, finishing with 43 possessions and 2 goals. Matt Pavlich also turned up the heat in the forward line and kicked 4 goals.

Freo have been improving from week to week and the young guys are really getting their confidence up and playing some good footy. Connor Blakely and Lachie Weller have both been nominated for the NAB Rising Star for their efforts in the last couple of weeks. When Fremantle lost Nat Fyfe to injury, the question was getting asked “who on earth will Ross Lyon replace Fyfe with..??” When Fyfe is fit to play and ready to return, the question will now be “who on earth will Ross Lyon drop to make way for Fyfe??” It is going to be a tough decision for him…

bucksCollingwood have had a fairly average run this season and coach Nathan Buckley’s job has been under pressure. Similarly to Fremantle, they have had a lot of trouble with injury, and they have had a hard time adjusting. The Pies will be rested coming into this game, after having a week off last week with the bye. The will also have the home ground advantage. The Pies beat a dangerous looking Geelong in round 9 however, they have lost their last three matches, the most recent being a 46 point loss to Melbourne. Can they find some form at the MCG?

pavI think that if the Fremantle Dockers can band together and beat Port Adelaide last week, who are currently just sitting outside of the top 8 on the ladder, they should be able to get up against the Pies this week… In theory! Pavlich has been in strong form and Freo’s defensive pressure around the ground is at an all-time high for this season.

I am going to stick with the Dockers this week! I am tipping Fremantle Dockers to beat Collingwood by 10 points!
