The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards are the industry’s premier awards program recognising outstanding industry achievement in 25 categories, and was one of the first corporate events held at Perth Stadium.

The Awards are held as Qantas prepares its first Perth to London return direct flights, the first time airline passengers can fly from Europe to Australia without stopping.

The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards event attracted more than 800 people from across the Australia, including Tourism Australia and various State tourism bodies, CEOs of state and regional tourism bodies, tourism industry leaders.

The awards have recognised and celebrated industry excellence for more than 30 years and were last held in Perth in 2011.
