The Perth Scorchers will battle the Sydney Sixers at #TheFurnace on Saturday afternoon, with the winning team being crowned the Champions of the #BBL06 season. The last time these two teams met in the Final, this happened in the 19th over….

What a finish! Brett Lee’s chainsaw got quite the work out…

The Perth Scorchers are always the team to beat. In the six BBL seasons to date, the Scorchers have not finished outside of the semi-finals. They have two Championship titles to their name, and could possibly add another title to the list on Saturday.

The loss of Shaun Marsh (international duties) is a big blow for the Scorchers, as he has been in great form. Without him and his brother Mitch, I think the two teams will be more evenly matched and we could easily be in for another epic finish. Hilton Cartwright or Cameron Bancroft are the possibilities to replace Shaun in the XI.

Paceman Jason Behrendorff has been a big inclusion to the 13-man squad, after a long recovery from a broken leg. He hasn’t played since November yet is still regarded as one of the best T20 bowlers in the country. Should Behrendorff return, Jhye Richardson will be the one to make way for him after pulling up sore after the Scorchers semi-final win over Melbourne Stars.

I am still buzzing over Mitchell Johnson’s incredible 3/3 with 21 dot balls off his four overs in the Scorchers last match, what a legend! As we predicted last week, Johnson is made for the big games, and there is none bigger than the final! Can MJ repeat his brilliant form on Saturday..? Of course he can! (My fingers and toes are crossed…)

How great has the BBL been this season?! As excited as I am for this final, I am also a little bit sad that this will be the concluding game of the summer! *sob* So let’s make the most of it and get around the Perth Scorchers – show your support for the team at @ScorchersBBL #MADETOUGH.
