Frosty nights, chilly days – Winter is the perfect season to indulge
your sweet tooth with Perth’s best winter desserts?

Here in Perth we really do have some cracking desserts to feast on, and we’ve listed some of our faves so you can satisfy those sugar cravings. Rush to get your rush right now!

Kumo Kumo

If you’ve seen some long, long lines in Northbridge lately, chances are it’s the hoards of people who have flocked to try Kumo Kumo.

So what is it? Wiggly, jiggly, souffle style Japanese pancakes that are as light as clouds, and totally delightful to devour.

Try the crème brulee, the black sugar boba or one of their other flavours and you’ll be hooked.

We know we are.

Sage

Closing our eyes and thinking of cold wintery nights has us fiending for Sage in Victoria Park’s poached pear and biscuit crumble dessert on their new dinner menu.

There’s something very special and comforting about a perfectly spiced and cooked pear, and this one doesn’t disappoint.

We’re already wanting more.

Croff Bakery

Perth’s Asian style bakery on Barrack Street has both savoury and sweet delights, but it’s the latter that have worked us into a frenzy.

Crisp, flaky and so tempting you’ll want to order more and more. Check out their lemon meringue croissant, Thai milk tea or early grey lavender. These guys have perfected the art of the croissant, and the flavours are just so playful and fun.

Donut Worry

Victoria Park is the home of dining out, with every cuisine and dish you could ever imagine adorning the strip.

Hot, fresh doughnut balls come out as you order and then are coated with toppings to make up familiar flavour combos that will have your inner child singing.

Raffaello and cookies and cream are just a couple of their twenty on offer.

Choose wisely (but actually don’t worry you can come back time and time again if you’re tempted by the selection).

North Street Store

Is there anything better than oozy, warm and heavy cinnamon-scented scrolls?

We adore North Street Store in Cottesloe (who doesn’t though) with their epic famous doughie delights that have people lining up for all the time.

Pull them apart, savour the bite and lick the sticky sugar that will no
doubt have your fingers covered.

If this isn’t love, we don’t know what is.

Little Matcha Girl

Hot tea (or coffee) and a slide of the black forest swiss roll at Little Matcha Girl in South Perth is totally what the doctor ordered in our opinion.

It doesn’t just look beautiful, but the chocolate sponge with blackcurrant curd, white chocolate cremeux and cherries is some kind of heaven.

It doesn’t matter how cold it is outside, this sure does warm our hearts.

Butter Crumbs

We have some truly talented pastry artists out and about in Perth, but Mt Claremont Farmer’s Market’s Butter Crumbs is weaving utter magic week on week.

Her desserts can be pre-ordered and use seasonal produce, and even some pretty special ingredients like truffles.

Kumquat tart, truffle cheesecake, strawberries and cream cake. The list goes on and on, and so does our deep-seeded love for her talent.

Island Market Trigg

Oh yes, winter is so the time for brownies. And the macadamia brownie with Pedro Ximenez ice-cream at Island Market Trigg hits the spot in a big way.

Soak up the view of Trigg beach as you stare at the waves crashing, and take in the warm vibes that this restaurant has in spades.

Add on a cocktail and you’ve got all the makings for true indulgence.

Get Chunky

Winter-time is cookie weather right?

And Get Chunky’s gooey Nutella cookies are designed to warm your bones up, but if that’s not your flavour jam they have something for everyone here.

Brave the wind, hop instore in Mount Lawley or Victoria Park, and your soul will be singing. And if you get them takeaway – you can sneak an extra one in your order to have the following day.

No one would judge you in the slightest.
