Perth coronavirus update has seen an additional 28 confirmed cases of coronavirus – taking WA’s total to 392.

In a statement by Mr Cook this morning anyone in WA showing signs of a fever (38C or above) and acute respiratory infection can be tested for COVID-19 from tomorrow.

28 new WA cases of COVID-19 confirmed overnight, bringing the State’s totally to 392.

19 from of the newly confirmed cases are from the Perth metro area and 9 from regional WA.

The age of the confirmed cases is from 4 to 69 years of age. The disparity of age again shows that the coronavirus doesn’t discriminate between ages groups as initially thought.

Of the new cases in an alarming statistic – 9 are health care workers.

Currently, 14 individuals are in ICU due to coronavirus.

Perth and WA Heatmap

A heatmap will be launching today by the WA Department of Health to showcase the hotspots both metro and regional coronavirus confirmed cases. However, the map will not show the exact location of confirmed cases due to confidentiality of patients.

The map will be updated daily and will soon be launched on the Department of Health website.
