Great Eastern Highway East Bound has been shut down after a Transperth bus veered off the road and nearly crashes into Ascot Apartment complex.

The accident occurred around 5.30pm on Great Eastern Highway, near the Ascot Quays apartment complex.
As the footage shows the bus ran down an embankment before coming to a stop in front of an apartment block. Photos tweeted by Kate Campbell show just how close the bus came to crashing into the apartment complex.

Reports coming through say that the driver had blacked out moments before veering off the road.
There have been no serious injuries reported, though 9 passengers and the driver have been taken to the hospital, with other passengers being treated at the scene.
