New year; new resolutions; new dreams. How many of those new year’s resolutions include helping someone in need? How many of those dreams include a luxurious new house in one of Perth’s most sought-after suburbs and paying off most, if not all of your debts?
If any of the above is resonating with you, so will this year’s MSWA Mega Home Lottery. 2023 sees the lottery hand out its biggest-ever Grand Prize package, valued at a whopping $4 million, including the home of your dreams and $1 million in cash. (We’ll let you decide how you’ll spend a million dollars — our imagination is running wild).
Anyone familiar with the MSWA Mega Home Lottery will likely already know that there is more than just the one grand prize. The three main prizes you could walk away with are outlined below, the entry to each determined by how early you buy your tickets. The earlier you get in, the more chances to win. You can also win all three homes, if you’re lucky.
The Grand Prize Package
Putting the ‘grand’ in ‘Grand Prize,’ this home is simply stunning. It’s, quite literally, what dreams are made of.
Located in one of Perth’s most affluent neighbourhoods, Mount Pleasant, your weekends will consist of walks along the Swan River, lunches overlooking the water at the newly opened Rowing Pavilion, or entertaining your friends in your new luxury mansion.
This two-storey masterpiece is the entertainer’s dream home. It boasts a simple, modern kitchen with everything you need at your fingertips — from ample stone benchtop space to the large Siemens ovens that will cook that weekend roast to perfection and more cupboard space than you’ll ever know what to do with. Talk about a chef’s delight.

The kitchen leads directly to the outdoor entertainment area, with built-in barbeque and an outdoor extension of the main kitchen’s counter space. It comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect in your dream home, including beautiful timber-lined ceilings and a sizeable plunge pool.
After a big evening of hosting, slink back to the dreamy master bedroom with its balcony and stacker sliding doors. Open them up completely so you can enjoy those typical, balmy Perth summer nights.
Downstairs is a home theatre that will elevate movie night to an all new level. You’ll be forgiven for preferencing Friday nights in, watching the latest release on Netflix instead of going out anywhere.
Plus, did we mention this dream home Grand Prize also comes with $1 million in cash? That’ll go a long way towards paying off your current mortgage and credit cards, and also leave you enough to fully furnish your new home; maybe even go on a round-the-world holiday.
Everyone who buys a ticket for the MSWA Mega Home Lottery goes into the draw to win this fabulous Grand Prize.

How Your Ticket Helps Someone In Need
It’s all well and good to buy tickets in the hopes of winning your dream home, but how much do you actually know about the work that MSWA do and where the money from ticket sales goes?
MSWA provides vital support and services for people living with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Motor Neuron disease, and acquired brain injury.
Funds raised from the tickets sold go directly towards providing vital support and funding for the neurological research needed to continue finding the causes of these debilitating conditions, providing better treatments, and, hopefully, one day finding cures.

Listening to stories from people whose lives have been directly affected — in a positive way — by the work that MSWA do really puts everything into perspective and shows the importance of initiatives such as the MSWA Mega Home Lottery. One such story is Denise Amato’s (pictured). At the age of 58, she was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS) — read her story here.
“The opportunity for people living with neurological conditions in Albany to have specialised living facilities is so important,” explains Denise. “There’s people younger than me who are currently in nursing homes because there’s nowhere else to go.”
“Nobody living with MS really knows what the future holds for them, but I do know that I am in very good hands with MSWA and that means a lot.”
You’ll rest easy, knowing every ticket you buy makes a difference to every Western Australian living with a neurological condition.
