March signals the beginning of the best season of the year – AFL season.
While you’re gearing up to watch your favourite team’s first clash (an away game on the 21st March for Dockers fans, and a home game on the 22nd March for Eagles supporters), whet your football appetite with an all-star studded charity game.
With names like Paul Haselby, Troy Cook, Ryan Crowley, and Des Headland already on the bill, it’s shaping up to be an unmissable game.
Taking place at Subiaco Football Club on Saturday 21st March, the game follows a reserves game at 1:30pm and the Youth Focus Cup at 4:00pm. Stick around for all three games, or make your way down at 6:30pm with your generous donations at the ready.
The game is the bookend of a nine-day regional and rural road trip for the inaugural ‘Stigma Stops Here’ tour. On the tour the organising charity, Outside the Locker Room (founded by ex-Carlton player Jake Edwards), will be stopping at different rural and regional centres where they will deliver essential education programs to local schools and sporting clubs, tackling issues like mental health, drugs, alcohol, and gambling.
