With a string of recently released events at new venue and art’s precinct, J-SHED ; Sunset Events are pleased to announce our exciting new venture, Beach BBQ – An internationally inspired street food smorgasbord!

Whilst it’s not all sunshine and clear sky’s this Sunday, we will be embracing the weather and opening our doors for the launch of our Beach BBQ series! We’ll be decking out the warehouse where you can enjoy some bevs, tunes and our spin on the traditional Aussie BBQ, all whilst watching the sun go down from our glass fronted windows that showcase Bathers Beach. See you at J-Shed this Sunday from 4pm!

Keeping in line with Freo’s relaxed vibes and Sunday culture we are turning the traditional Aussie BBQ on its head and putting our own spin on this much loved tradition.
Our BBQ’d feast will be served up with a selection of WA’s finest craft brews, local wines and summer inspired cocktails from our handpicked local distilleries, set against the backdrop of the stunning Bathers Beach.

Presented by our friends and local legends over at Gage Roads Brewing Co, Beach BBQ is Perth’s answer to the ultimate Sunday session – every Sunday 12-9pm.

Beach BBQ is all about sharing and caring – grab an icy drink from the bar, jump on one of our long shared bench tables and watch the sun set to the chilled tunes of our featured music makers.
Our first week of programming kicks off on Sunday 31st Jan featuring just some of the local chargrilling kings listed below, with arvo tunes brought to by the likes of GENGA, Troy Division, MICAH & The RTR Ambient Zone DJ’s. Each Sunday we will putting together a bunch of talented homegrown DJs all focusing on bringing those BBQ beats and adding to the Beach BBQ experience so watch this space!

Catalano’s
Steeped in History, Catalano’s Seafood is a West Australian family business that was created in 1969 by Francesco Catalano with the restauarnt garnering an impressive 45 year heritage of bringing the best quality fish and seafood from Australia and around the world, in the absolute best possible condition to your table. The fish mongering family is now headed by Francesco’s two sons, Nick and Paul, who act as mentors to Francesco’s four grandsons David, Andrew, Josh & Mark, together they have over 140 years experience. For the Beach BBQ series, Catalano’s will be bringing a special seafood BBQ experience to the oceans edge.
