Chris Rock drops in on The Charles Hotel.
It was a night to remember at The Charles Hotel for 200 unsuspecting comedy fans last night as they were treated to an impromptu drop-in set from Hollywood A-lister Chris Rock.
In Perth on his TOTAL BLACKOUT TOUR, the Grammy and Emmy award winning comedian used the spontaneous stage time to work out some new material in preparation for his show tonight at Perth Arena.
Local comedian Lukey Bolland had the unenviable task of following the Oscars host after his 35 minute set.
“Getting to share a stage with Chris Rock at The Charles Hotel was like a dream, but actually having to go up and perform after him could be every comic’s nightmare. It was a night that I, and no doubt the audience, won’t soon forget.”
Those comedy fans who won’t get to see Chris Rock kick off his Australian tour tonight at Perth Arena can still get their funny fix watching Lukey perform this weekend at Lazy Susan’s Comedy Den upstairs at The Brisbane Hotel.
“My show will be 1/8th the price of Chris Rock and about 1/2 as funny.”
