Western Australia now has 175 confirmed coronavirus cases with 2 children now confirmed.

WA Health Minister Roger Cook has just released to the media that there has been 35 new cases of coronavirus confirmed overnight in Western Australia – bringing our state’s total to 175.

Of these latest 35 cases – two children have been confirmed to have contracted the virus in WA’s latest increase.

The children, aged four and ten, are from the same family and contracted the virus from a known contact.

18 are male and 17 are female.

It brings the state’s total diagnosed cases to 175.

As for locations five confirmed cases were located in regional WA.

Two people in the Kimberley region, one in the Mid West, one in the Wheatbelt and one in the Great Southern.

This announcement comes off the back of NSW’s update this morning with 149 new cases confirmed as Australia edges closer to 2,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
