New Costco Perth Store Opening
Perth’s second Costco is coming to the southern suburbs.
Casuarina won’t be famous just for its prison anymore, with the popular retailer saying plans were advancing for the new store.
The new Costco Perth will be located on the corner of Thomas Road and the Kwinana Freeway.
We have been looking for a suitable site in the south of Perth for the past six years and this site really ticks all the boxes with regards to access to surrounding road network and residential growth areas,” he said.
Costco Perth MD Patrick Noone:
“Once we receive our planning approvals, we will be investing in a $50 million retail warehouse.
“This is exciting for many reasons, particularly as Kwinana is such a dynamic and fast growing region.
“We will seek to actively engage with locally based suppliers, recruit over 250 staff from the local area and bring great value in relation to a wide range of products and services.”
Costco Perth first opening in 2018, with an outlet at Perth Airport.

As of 2015, Costco was the second largest retailer in the world after Walmart, and as of 2016, Costco was the world’s largest retailer of choice and prime beef, organic foods, rotisserie chicken, and wine.
The company first opened in 1983 in Seattle, Washington.
Costco has a total of 741 warehouses; In the United States (514), Canada (98), Mexico (37), United Kingdom (28), Japan (26), South Korea (13), Taiwan (13), Australia (9), Spain (2), Iceland (1) and France (1).
