Australia has entered Phase 1B of the vaccination rollout, with more than 280,000 people receiving the jab.

Those eligible include people over 70 – not just those in nursing homes – and younger people with underlying health conditions.

You can check your eligibility via the health.gov.au website before booking in with a local clinic with the “service finder”.

There are mot than 80 clinics registered in WA, all listed below.

It comes as a facility run by CSL – a pharmaceutical giant in Australia – has been given the all clear to domestically produce the AstraZeneca vaccine.

After batch testing, the facility will produce 1 million vaccines a week and dramatically ramp up vaccinations.

By May 10, about 6 million people are expected to have been vaccinated.

This compares with more than 120 million doses in the US. Worldwide, more than 447 million doses have been administered.  

Australians who want the vaccine should be fully vaccinated by October or November this year.

Health Minister Greg Hunt said the Government was “on track” to delivering the agreed upon doses with States and Territories.
