Scitech opens its doors for an exclusive adult only, after hours’ event with delectable, out of this world culinary delights!

On the night, see a demonstration of how to make ice cream using liquid nitrogen and dry ice. Compare how the different cooking techniques affect the taste of this delightful favourite.

All ice cream will be flavoured by Scitech’s own honey bees, a uniquely tasty treat not to be missed. Earth based delights and themed cocktails will also be available as this is a fully licensed event.

So grab a drink and explore over 100 hands-on exhibits dotted across the floor, or check out the latest exhibition, ‘Astronaut’ and take a closer look at one of the most unique jobs on (and off) the planet.

From the Moon landings to the Mars One project, astronauts have become synonymous with adventure, exploration and endeavour.

Train, experiment and collaborate as you experience some of the challenges of becoming a space explorer.

‘Astronaut’ also shows how food is grown in space for long-term missions and challenges you to choose suitable foods to eat and drink in zero gravity. You can also experience a rocket launch and explore how you’d sleep or use the toilet in space!

This may be as close as you’ll get to experience life as an astronaut, as Scitech presents a stratospheric and gastronomic After Dark!

The Gossip:
