Taste Great Southern has revealed the full program for its 2026 festival, confirming four days of world-class dining, local wine, and immersive regional experiences across Western Australia’s south coast.
Running from Thursday, March 5th to Sunday, March 8th, the festival will once again bring together leading chefs, producers, and wine talent to showcase the flavours and stories of the Great Southern. Supported by the Cook Government through Tourism WA’s Regional Events Program, Taste Great Southern is recognised as one of the state’s flagship culinary celebrations.
Culinary highlights for 2026
The 2026 program features a mix of signature experiences and new events designed to capture the essence of the region’s produce and landscapes.
Tourism and Great Southern Minister Reece Whitby said, “Food and wine enthusiasts will be impressed by the lineup of world-class culinary talent and producers joining Taste Great Southern 2026, an event that celebrates everything that makes the region so extraordinary.”
“Next year’s program invites visitors to experience the heart and soul of the Great Southern through unforgettable flavours, stories and landscapes.”
Tides of Taste x Singlefile at Maitraya Retreat Homestead will see chef Jo Barrett join WA culinary talents Evan Hayter, Paul “Yoda” Iskov, and Corey Rozario for a collaborative long-table feast.
Adventurous diners can take part in Peak to Plate, led by television personality and chef Guy Turland, combining a guided hike through the Porongurups with a gourmet lunch inspired by the region’s seasonal ingredients.
Among the new additions is Taste Market — a curated gathering of local wine producers, chef pop-ups, and sommelier-hosted masterclasses — while the ever-popular Denmark Wine Hop returns, offering visitors a continuous bus loop between some of the region’s best wineries.
Beyond the culinary program, the 2026 festival aligns with Albany’s Bicentenary celebrations, which include Lighting the Sound — an Australian-exclusive landscape illumination event — ensuring a vibrant calendar for visitors heading south.
