Perch up in the sunshine and dig into wholesome brunches, boozy cocktails, food coma-worthy lunches and perfectly brewed cuppas.

We’re pretty lucky here in WA to have some of the most postcard-perfect coastline views in the world, and what better way to soak them in than at a super cute coastal cafe with food and drink in hand.

Add these perfect coastal cafes to your must-tries.

Canteen Trigg

It doesn’t get more coastal than Canteen.

Right on the shore of Trigg beach, you’ll be pressed to find a day this cute little cafe isn’t packed to the brim with coast walkers and sea breeze seekers- and for good reason.

Aside from being fitted out in calming beach shack style with casual seating and 10/10 views, the menu here is pretty spot on. Plus, for the most part, it’s pretty healthy with a heap of whole foods, healthy bowls, and vegan options.

Little Bay

Little Bay is about as picture-perfect as the sparkling view over Watermans Bay.

The gorgeous beachside cafe is constantly abuzz with activity, and it’s no surprise when it’s one of the most Insta-worthy coast spots we’ve ever seen. Boho furniture meets crisp whites in Hamptons style with swing chairs, stone tables, and plenty of sunshine. The food and drink? Just as good- plus, your fluffy friends are welcome.

Bib & Tucker

It’s no secret that Bib & Tucker has made a pretty big reputation for itself in Perth, so what’s all the hype about?

Let’s start with the mouthwatering, fresh local produce packed with flavour they plate up, or the magical views over Leighton Beach in Fremantle, or the uber-friendly staff and eye-pleasing rustic-chic interior. You get the picture.

Tropico

Tropico had a surge in popularity a while back over Insta with their picture-perfect brekkies cramming up many feeds, and we can confirm it’s still just as delicious now.

The simple setting allows room for the food to take the full spotlight, featuring sweet treats, wholesome bowls, and the classics. You can also grab cocktails, wine, and an ice-cold beer if you’re feeling cheeky.

The Beach House

If you live north, this is your next coastal oasis.

As soon as you walk in you’ll be hit with an abundance of lush green plants and ocean-facing views. The menu features all the usual suspects – smashed avo, salt and pepper squid, steak, salad, fish and chips etc. Its simplicity is what makes it loveable, no fancy touches necessary. But the real seller here is the location. Catch a sunrise through the floor-to-ceiling windows and you won’t want to leave.

Yelo

We know you’ve probably heard it so many times by now, but Yelo truly is one of the best coastal cafe gems.

If you want a healthy pit stop on your coastal morning walk, then look no further. A jam-packed little corner store, you’ll find plenty of fresh, wholesome food to chow down on and some super refreshing smoothies. You’re also guaranteed to meet plenty of adorable fluffy friends upon entrance.

Sistas

It may look like your average run-of-the-mill coastal cafe from the outside, but the food and coffee at Sistas are a pleasant surprise of deliciousness.

An absolute fave of many locals, it’s a necessary pit-stop for brunch, lunch, or a coast walk coffee, and they’ve also more recently opened up shop at Mindarie Marina. All your classic breakfast icons are featured, along with some pretty tasty lunch burgers and healthy summer salads.

Oceans 27

Earning a rep for its picture-perfect cocktails, Oceans 27 is a balmy evening dream and an ideal girl’s brunch hangout.

Great views feature on the shores of Alkimos with a menu of modern Australian cuisine with some fusion between European and Asian flavours. They’ve got live music and DJs on the weekend to play the perfect soundtrack for your afternoon drinks from a menu of kick-ass cocktails and Australian wines.

Jaffelato

The humble jaffle, but even better.

Jaffelato is taking our jaffle love to whole new heights with sweet and sour gourmet jaffles on the Rockingham foreshore. The definition of taking something so simple and making it amazing, pair one of these bad boys with a smooth cuppa or one of their epic shakes, and you’re sorted.

96 Express

Size is no matter at 96 Express, because their tiny little cafe is serving out some super eats and coffee.

Head in and grab a mid-morning pick me up, then take a seat on one of the beanbags or chairs set up on grass ledges outside to soak in the sunshine and take in the views of the beautiful WA coastline.

Indigo Oscar

Setting up shop in the former Indiana Tearooms, Indigo Oscar has got Summer covered with 10/10 Cottesloe views and a pretty superb menu of bites to top it off.

The little tropical gem has made quite a name for itself already, with bold Latin flavours the hero and fresh fruity cocktails ready to put you in vacation mode. The new pop-up is running up until the building undergoes its next transformation, so get in quick!
