Frida Kahlo pop-up

A New Frida Kahlo Pop-Up Tequila Bar Is Heading To Hillarys

Expect spicy margaritas and Mexican bites from the new pop-up lounge bar at 3Sheets in Hillarys.

This spring, family-owned Hillarys Boat Harbour hard hitter, 3Sheets is launching a new pop-up tequila lounge inspired by artist Frida Kahlo. From spicy margaritas to tequila sunrises, the lounge will champion a selection of light and tasty Mexican bites alongside moreish tequila-based cocktails.

In terms of design, the fit-out will feature hanging greenery, exposed lighting, lounges, and casual seating. Double wood barn doors will separate the space and the outdoor area will feature a dash of colour with new seating and bars overlooking the water.

“We chose the Frida Kahlo theme for our new pop-up space because her vibrant art and unique style resonate with the energy and creativity we strive to bring to 3Sheets at Hillarys,” owner Toby Evans said.

“Frida Kahlo’s Pop-Up Tequila Lounge will be a dynamic and colourful addition, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistic flair that Frida represents,” he said.

Designed to evolve with the seasons, the pop-up will be a prime spot to watch the sunset across the marina, from Wednesday to Saturday evenings.

3Sheets is also working on the enhancement of the garden area — which will soon be seagull-proof — to ensure a more comfortable dining experience leading into the warmer months.
