Coccodrillo Negroni Bar Brings Italian Chic To Napoleon Street

Napoleon Street just got a whole lot cooler with the arrival of Coccodrillo Negroni Bar, a sleek Italian-inspired hotspot serving up Negronis, bold cocktails, and modern Italian bites.

Perth’s Western Suburbs are in for a treat as Coccodrillo Negroni Bar breathes new life into Napoleon Street. Since its late December opening, this Italian-inspired gem has quickly become the go-to spot for discerning locals and visitors craving an elevated drinking and dining experience.

Grounded in the ethos of “Drink better, not more,” Coccodrillo serves up what may be Perth’s finest Negronis. At the heart of its offerings is Bitter Fusetti, an iconic Italian award-winning bitter, redefining the classic cocktail with bold and unexpected twists. Guests can indulge in the “Seven Sins” Negroni series — Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride — or explore the rotating “Negroni of the Week”, promising a fresh adventure with every visit.

The bar’s innovative cocktail menu extends beyond Negronis, featuring a creative spritz selection and an extensive list of Italian and local wines. Paired with modern Italian tapas-style bar bites, Coccodrillo has firmly established itself as the summer hotspot that Cottesloe has been waiting for.

Coccodrillo’s premium Italian imports, high-quality spirits, and expertly curated menu make it a haven for those seeking a sophisticated yet playful escape. The food menu is a tribute to contemporary Italian-style tapas, thoughtfully crafted with options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diners. Highlights include housemade focaccia, fresh seafood crudo, creamy burrata, hand-filled pastas, and light, summery desserts.

“We’re thrilled to transform Napoleon Street from a bustling daytime destination into an exciting evening hotspot,” Founder of Coccodrillo Negroni Bar, Nino La Verghetta said.

“Our concept is fun, unique, and reasonably priced. It’s designed to resonate with locals, bringing Napoleon Street to life after dark.”

The name, Coccodrillo (crocodile in Italian), captures the venue’s playful and lighthearted essence. A vibrant, welcoming space where diners can unwind and enjoy exceptional food, drinks, and entertainment.

What sets Coccodrillo apart is the atmosphere. With energetic and funky nu-disco beats from live DJs on weekends, the venue is an ideal alternative to Perth’s nightclub scene. Its upbeat yet relaxed vibe offers the perfect backdrop for a night out, whether you’re sharing a cocktail with friends or an intimate evening.

Coming soon: Coccodrillo Pizza & Vino

As if one exciting venue wasn’t enough, Nino La Verghetta is set to launch Coccodrillo Pizza & Vino on Station Street by the end of January 2025. This cosy sister venue will offer authentic woodfired pizzas, a curated wine menu, and takeaway options, catering to up to 50 guests. With its warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s poised to complement the bustling energy of the bar perfectly.
