Perth brewpub Pirate Life is ready to unveil two incredibly hot, incredibly unique new spaces for revellers to enjoy as they finally call completion on the large multi-venue precinct in partnership with award-winning hospitality group Sneakers & Jeans.
Get out your checklist now and add CRUSH and honey to the list of hot new Perth venues to hit up.
Turning the highly popular hangout into a brewery and then some, the two new spaces will be opening at 8 pm on September 8 and can be found at the rear of the precinct.
CRUSH
CRUSH is Pirate Life’s bright and breezy Cali/Mex-meets-Palm Springs inspired space boasting artsy 60s and 70s-inspired furnishings, pastel pink and green wall tiles reminiscent of Californian beach days, and a rich desert colour scheme to compliment fresh succulents and giant cacti.
The menu follows the same theme as the area itself with grammable fruity drinks in pops of colour, and once you have one in hand you can head over to the huge balustrade balcony at the rear framing a giant mural of beautiful woman Daysie, designed by local Perth artist Bec Abdy. While Daysie is totally eye-catching on her own, it’s what’s behind her that we’re excited about.
honey
Daysie connects CRUSH to tucked away rum bar honey – a broody, intimate and rockin’ space vastly contrasting to the bright summery vibes you’ve just come from.
Here you’ll find a ten-metre-long cocktail bar where darker spirits take the spotlight and rum is the star of the show in a curated cocktail menu. For those not keen on the rum side of things they’ll also have a dozen tap beers present pouring the very best of the brewery above.
Foodwise, the kitchen at honey will focus on funky bowls and bites – think tasty, spicy nibbles with a Caribbean-island influence. It’s no boujee feast at TOMA, but it’s sure to satisfy on those relaxed bar evenings.
Sneakers & Jeans owner Andy Freeman says Pirate Life is really something special for the Perth bar scene.
“Pirate Life Perth is one of my proudest achievements,” says Freeman, “we’ve created something incredible in the CBD’s west-end… a labyrinth of scenes, moments, and experiences. An array of beers, cocktails and spirits; an eclectic cuisine ensemble – and endless ‘grammable opportunities.”
Fire up the group chat and get ready to book in at two of Perth’s hottest new venues from September 8, or enjoy a brew at the Pirate Life pub in the meantime while you wait.
