CHOCOLATE EDUCATION AND TASTING AT SUE LEWIS CHOCOLATIER
If you are a self-professed chocaholic and have always wanted to know a little more about the chocolate making process, then book in for a chocolate education class with local chocolate aficionado, Sue Lewis and hear about the bean to bar journey.

A candlelit dessert degustation in the basement of the illustrious new State Building.
You’ll join Sugarplum Sweets, Sue Lewis Chocolatier and The Honeycake for a long-table dessert degustation.

Another one for the little ones in your life; why not take them to a mad hatter tea party at PICA?
They’ll have the chance to show off their creative skills when they decorate their own psychedelic cupcake! Inspired by Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg’s The Secret Garden, this is something different that could spark a child’s love of baking, which has to be a good thing!

HEDONISM AT HALFORD
The plush surrounds of Halford Bar sound like the perfect location for an indulgent evening of fine champagne, cheese and chocolate.
Louis Roederer, Pol Roger, Gosset and Paul Bara labels will be matched with Simon Johnson cheese and chocolates by Sue Lewis.
I’m really curious which chocolate would be suit the effervescent fizz of a good champagne, but with the experts in attendance I’m sure we’ll learn a lot.

THE SWEETEST REGIONS
For lovers of both chocolate and whisky, this event has your name on it! Kevin Clark will guide the group through five Scotch whisky samples, expertly matched with decadent chocolate from The Margaret River Chocolate Company.
Again, it will be interesting to know what type of chocolate would best suit this intense spirit. Learning while eating and drinking, it seems so efficient! It’s good to upskill the knowledge base…says the chocoholic!

A pretty cool name for a bevvy, the Drunken Cuddles Cocktail ($16) is a fizzy combination of WA’s own Westwinds Gin, citrus juice and local bubbles topped with mulberry fruit.
Sounds fresh, fruity and fizzy, and I like the WA twist on this drink. Cheers!
