What’s on in Perth for July – Don your loosest pants and get your taste buds ready for these upcoming food and drink events.
July may be smack bang in the middle of winter, but that doesn’t mean all the fun, activity, and events freeze. No sir. In fact, July is crammed full of fun, with multiple events taking place across the duration of the month. From decadent truffle dinners to an afternoon full of cake, these are some of the best foodie events happening in Perth this July.
Cabin Fever
July 16th – 25th, Margaret River and surrounds
It’s time to come out of hibernation and explore everything that the southwest has to offer during winter; at least that’s what Cabin Fever is urging you to do. This bumper 10-day festival sees over 40 fabulous events – from fondue by the fire to luxurious 6-course degustations – popping up all over the Margaret River region. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of what the region has to offer when the sun isn’t shining and the beaches are wild and woolly. Keep it casual with something like ‘moules and frites’ at Monkey Bar ($65.00), or go all out with a degustation dinner over an evening at Tiller Dining ($189.00).
Make a weekend of it and grab yourself tickets to a few events, but you’ve got to be quick as events are selling out fast.
Zero
6.00pm – 7.30pm, July 7th and 8th, State Buildings
Food and wine go together like cheese and crackers, but this alcohol-free event, aptly named ‘Zero’, is here to challenge perceptions and break boundaries. At the halfway point, a sit-down feast will be served in the Postal Hall before you’re ushered downstairs for a private, non-alcoholic cocktail masterclass with Lyre’s Spirit Co and The London Essence.
