All the Perth bars celebrating World Gin Day around Perth

Up there with one of the most important days on the calendar (in our opinion), World Gin Day is a day to celebrate all things…well, gin.

Held every year on the second Saturday in June, this year celebrations fall on June 11th – and there are some Perth bars ready to pour the gin and get the party started.

The Flour Factory – World Gin Day Masterclass

Home to one of Perth’s largest gin collections, it’s no surprise that Flour Factory will be on board the gin day celebrations.

They’re throwing a World Gin Day masterclass featuring tastes from Australia, London, Europe, and Japan. You’ll get to dive right in with a taste of their very own Modern Botanical Gin, followed by a lesson in iconic gin brands from around the world all paired with Fever-Tree tonics, fresh garnishes, and a delectable grazing plate.

Head in for a 2:30 pm start with the class lasting for roughly an hour, then hang around for a couple more gins from the bar.

Guildhall – Gin High Tea

A lovingly restored and artfully decorated event space looking right at home in Freo, Guildhall will be teaming up with Archie Rose Distilling Co. to put on a gin high tea. It will be the first of three unique events featuring a collection from one of the best distilleries in the world, and just in time for World Gin Day

Expect a deliciously decadent high tea with housemade sweet and savory bites paired alongside tastings of three gins with gin aficionado Mitch Gurrin; the Signature Dry Gin, Harvest Sunshine Lime Gin, and Bone Dry Gin.

W Churchill

A personal favourite among gin enthusiasts, W Churchill shouldn’t need a gin specific day for a visit- but it can’t hurt, right?

The dimly lit hangout is home to around 200 gins, all perfectly displayed behind the bar and all waiting to be poured alongside a food menu of fine pub fare and classics. Perfect World Gin Day stop? We think so.

Federal Hotel – Cocktails & CanapĂ©s

The Fed is teaming up with Four Pillars Gin to celebrate in cocktail and canapé style. We can get behind that.

You can enjoy an evening sipping on a whole lotta yummy cocktails paired with hand-crafted bites and backed up with live music in Herbert’s Bar & Balcony. Plus, expect prizes and merch giveaways.

Frisk. Small Bar

Yet another on the gin bar scene in Perth, Frisk. has a long line of fabulous bottles to pop in celebratory style.

We’d recommend making this your late-night stop to cap off the day, and getting your hands on a cheeky signature drink or two like the Cocomelon for Grown Ups, Benny’s Ultimate Gin & Tonic, or the You Wouldn’t Steal A Strudel. Last year they had a special going, so keep your eyes peeled for that this year.

Mandurah Walking Tour – Let the fun beGIN!

If you’re further south, you’ll be getting the ultimate gin day treatment with a self-guided tour of five venues all with bespoke gin and tonic menus and six local gin exhibitors.

A free G&T will be on offer in each venue alongside gin inspired dishes, live music, and a DJ from 6 pm. Participating venues include Catch22 Tapas & Cocktail Lounge, The Stage Door Waterfront Restaurant, Flics Kitchen, Little Stiller, and Bar Therapy.

Hidden Detours

Hidden Detours specialise in gin tourism with three dedicated gin tours around Perth and Margaret River.

Their Gin Distillery Tour allows you to taste a range of local Perth gins at four distilleries or bars led by your own personal gin guru who will share all their tasty secrets. There are currently still spots left for this Sunday, the 12th of June, so although it’s the day after we still reckon it would be the perfect way to celebrate.
