While we can’t exactly go at the moment it’s nice to know we are welcomed.

In encouraging world news, restrictions from the European travel ban have been updated as travellers from Australia and 13 other countries will be allowed entry into the European Union as they begin to open its border.

While Australians will be welcomed into Europe, the United States will not have their European travel ban lifted as they continue to fight the spiking COVID-19 pandemic throughout the country.

This is obviously a great sign for international travel as countries open up their borders to others, however, Australian citizens and residents are currently banned from travelling overseas without an exemption.

The EU announcement comes 3 months after the EU had decided to engage the European travel ban and shut it’s borders to all non-essential travel.

However, with the Australian government providing no firm timeline for international travel restrictions to be eased and also the announcement from Qantas CEO Alan Joyce and international flights not looking to commence until July 2021 many will still have to dream about the Europe holiday they had planned for this year and possibly even early next year.

So for now let’s keep exploring our own country.
