ChorusOz Perth: Carmina Burana

Sydney Philharmonia Choirs is thrilled to bring its ‘big sing’ ChorusOz back to Perth in 2026, uniting hundreds of voices for two days of community music-making. This year, participants will take on Carl Orff’s monumental Carmina Burana, performed in Winthrop Hall at the University of Western Australia on Saturday 26 September.

Following last year’s sold-out ChorusOz Perth, the 2026 event promises to be equally impressive. From the thunderous opening “O Fortuna” to the work’s kaleidoscopic mix of drama, beauty and sheer vocal power, Carmina Burana offers wall-to-wall highlights for singers and audiences alike.

Brett Weymark OAM leads a chorus of 200 recruited from across Western Australia and beyond, joined by a star cast of professional Perth-based soloists: soprano Prudence Sanders, tenor Perry Joyce and baritone James Clayton. Together with the brilliant musicians of the Perth Symphony Orchestra, they will guide audiences through Orff’s vivid musical world of fortune, love and revelry.
