Kicking off our list of Perth’s best Thai food joints is Northbridge’s Louder Louder with its flavours and food on offer shouting pure deliciousness.
When we close our eyes, their unctuous and oh-so-sexy Massaman beef rib curry is all we see and it makes us shiver with happiness. The meat slides off the bone, and it’s generous, rich, and so comforting — it’s like a hug. If you only eat one thing here, make it this (but also, don’t be silly — try others, too). Oh but for that separate stomach we all have, don’t forget to try one of their traditional but modern Thai desserts, too.
Long Chim
This one was an obvious choice to make the list of ‘Best Thai Food in Perth’.
Famed Chef David Thompson’s Long Chim in Perth CBD’s State Buildings opened amongst great fanfare, and since then, it’s shown no signs of slowing down.
Perfect for a special occasion as well as business lunches or catch-ups with friends, there’s a real vibe here that hits you when you enter. Beautifully decked out, the food is just as impressive with Chang Mai larb that will have smoke coming out of your ears, one of the best sour orange fish curries you’ll ever taste, and charred noodles that taste so smoky they transport you straight to Thailand markets.

Dusit Dheva by the Sea
Seaside dining where you can taste the salt in the food and the air?
Dusit Dheva by the Sea has you covered at Sorrento Quay. With signature dishes like galloping horses (minced duck and cashew on fresh pineapple), Thai beef salad, and grilled Tasmanian salmon in a creamy red curry sauce, there’s something to satisfy even the most discerning foodie on this menu. It aims to please, and it does just that!
Sue’s Thai Kitchen
If you drove by Sue’s Thai Kitchen and completely missed it, you wouldn’t be alone, but you’d live to regret it.
Woodland’s secret Thai oasis is actually very special, with curries that are so supercharged with layered flavour that your socks get blown off with each bite. Whether it’s a green, yellow, or red curry that has your name on it, once you try this place, it’s impossible to get it off your mind. Humble, quaint, and so, so tasty.
Baan Baan
From the team behind Bangkok Jump Street, Baan Baan can be found in Perth (on the cusp of Northbridge) on Newcastle Street and is the kind of food you’ll be craving any day of the week.
It has a really authentic flavour approach and yet still feels modern and fresh. With dishes like sticky bbq pork cheek with tamarind, northern style beef rib curry with ginger and pickled garlic, and a crab omelette to rival all others, this is a place you have to add to your dining list, stat.

Blow your lid with its spicy larb salads, or keep things decadent with a thick coconut curry featuring your choice of protein. If it’s cold outside, this is sure to keep you warm.
Saowanee’s Place
It has a bit of a retro vibe when you enter North Perth’s Saowanee’s Place, and the charm extends all the way into the menu, too.
Designed to please with heavy-hitting and familiar Thai flavours such as fiery chilli, tart green papaya, and creamy coconut milk. It’s no surprise that this is one of Perth’s long-standing Thai favourites, and beyond delicious dishes to eat, the service is warm and welcoming.
