Sometimes a new venue opens and, as soon as you sit down at a table, you just feel at home. That’s the case with Scarborough’s newest wine bar, Convivio.

It’s not on the main Scarborough strip (and that’s probably a good thing), so it’s not one you’re going to accidentally stumble into on a night out. But it’s one you should definitely book a table and go there with a group of friends.

It’s a wine bar, so naturally, the wine list is strong. But it could legitimately call itself a cocktail bar as well. It’s one of the few venues in Perth that knows how to make the classics for the average person instead of for bartenders. 

And the food? It’s best enjoyed share-style with a bottle of well-matched wine on the table. Everything we tasted was enjoyable and well-balanced in flavour, so picking what you want should be easy.
