Have you ever wondered how some people get it so right? The perfect fitting jeans (although I’m convinced these don’t exist!), glamorous shoes comfortable enough to endure a full day’s commute, the perfect shade of lippy, accessories which perfectly elevate the look, and homes that would fit right in on the gloriously glossy pages of a Vogue Living magazine.
Well, it’s time to grab your credit cards because Perth’s most stylish have divulged where they shop for all things fashion, beauty, and homewares — and the best news is you’ll be supporting locals!

I love Elle Boutique in Nedlands. It’s a Perth institution and when you think of luxury and style it’s the first boutique I think of. It helps that one of my closest friends, Naomi, has been a stylist with them for as long as I can remember.
Wendy Marshall, the owner, has always championed West Australian design and she’s been really progressive with moving with the times and allowing her creative team to think outside the square. Elle is a one-stop shop where you can find the perfect party dress, chic separates, and a gift for someone special. They’re home to some of my favourite designers like Jacquemus, Maticevski, Stella McCartney, and Alexander McQueen.
There’s also a little section with some of the most incredible archive pieces from these designers and lastly, no one throws a party with the good champagne quite like Elle!

My go-to Perth designer and boutique is Meraki Official — timeless style, craftsmanship, and female empowerment. When it comes to finding the perfect outfit for a special event or simply wanting to feel your best, there’s one local designer who has been my steadfast go-to for over 20 years — Meraki Official, under the creative direction of Alvin Fernandez.
Meraki’s collections feature a diverse range of ready-to-wear and custom pieces, ensuring there’s something for every occasion. Alvin has dressed some of the world’s biggest names, from Kelly Rowlan to Danni Minogue, but his heart remains firmly rooted in Perth, where he finds joy in connecting with his local clients. It’s not just about the clothes — it’s about the experience. Walking into Meraki’s boutique feels like you’re stepping into a glamorous world of shared stories, life moments, and the magic of transformation through fashion.
It’s an honour to call Alvin not only my go-to Perth designer but also my friend. His dedication to his craft and his customers is truly what makes him a Perth legend. For anyone seeking to feel empowered, elegant, and truly celebrated through fashion, Meraki Official is the destination.

The Secret Skincare prescription range is available online, with the Base Range sold in select beauty salons across Perth and globally.
I’m all about ‘skinmalism’ — I need a simple skincare routine that actually delivers. Who doesn’t?! The Secret Skincare has simplified my entire routine. Their night cream is customised to my unique skin needs, it’s compounded locally and then shipped directly to me. It’s fuss-free scientific skincare that works.
The Secret Skincare is known for its hero product — the ‘Cellular Repair Night Cream’ — which has literally transformed my skin, lifting pigment and improving overall skin health and glow. I use it for three to four months each year.

Arrival Hall in Northbridge has to be my favourite showroom that I visit most in Perth, followed by Cleo Collects and Loam. Situated in a 19th-century house, Arrival Hall showcases the most beautiful Scandinavian homewares and designer furniture and I am always incredibly inspired when I walk through their doors. Their curated collections of art, lighting, furniture, homewares, books, outdoor furnishings, and an incredibly cute selection of kids’ toys means I have a long wish list there, as do my boys! My favourite brands they represent include international design houses Muuto, HAY, and Ferm Living. Think of walking into an incredibly curated home of your dreams, but everything is shoppable.
It’s not only a design store, they also have built an incredible meeting spot with their cafe concept, Dine by Arrival Hall, which blurs the line between neighbourhood cafe and restaurant. Some days, it can be a perfect spot for the boys and me to catch up with friends, other times, it can offer a cosy spot to grab a coffee and go through some work emails, or hold meetings whilst immersing ourselves in the middle of the most beautiful designs. They change around their showroom often, which always offers new inspiration and ideas. We go for coffee and always walk out with a beautiful new addition to our home. Or go in to buy a gift, and end up indulging and staying for coffee and cake.
Their coffee, pandan crumpets, and cakes are to die for, served in the most beautiful ceramics you’ll want to go home with. They also have a very sweet kids menu and are so welcoming with their front garden set up with a swing, soccer goals, push bikes, and balls which gives you an opportunity to browse, think, and take your time (if you’re a Mum!). They definitely have the best range of kids’ designer toys and furniture in Perth, as well as home decor and gifting.

Perth has so many hidden gems when it comes to fashion. Two of my favourite designers are from Perth and have boutiques which are a must-visit if shopping in Perth. One is Khirzad Femme located in Perth City — this boutique is a full experience of colour, texture, unique silhouettes, and extremely talented artisan design. Shopping there is like being on the market streets of Turkey with a high-fashion twist!
My other obsession and must-visit when shopping in Perth is Natalie Rolt. A Perth designer who creates the most elegant, sexy pieces. I love this designer because while she has a signature, you never quite know what is coming and it’s always the most stunning surprise — the show room is also a must-see for fittings and try-ons, it is SO beautiful!
My one-stop shop for beauty and skin when in Perth is ‘The Skin Edition‘, located in the Angel Aesthetics building in South Perth. She is a one-woman show and is just so knowledgeable, talented and a perfectionist at what she does. It is a skin clinic focused on getting you your glowy skin treatments and always tailored to you. It is a smaller business that deserves the hype because Tahnee is honestly amazing at what she does.

With so many Australian and international brands that aren’t so easy to track down elsewhere, Department on Beaufort has an eye for curating unique but very wearable and chic pieces. If I’m looking for something to refresh my wardrobe and wear for years to come, Department is a must visit. I love that they carry Anine Bing, Sir, Posse and so many other ‘cool girl’ labels. It’s like having all the brands I love discovering online in person and many more I have never heard of.
When it comes to beauty, Bodhi Spas is the ultimate relaxation and rejuvenating spot. I love visiting for a massage, facial, or a mix of both. The treatments use the most beautiful products including Perth local brand, Sodashi. The massage and facial treatments are relaxing, you leave looking and feeling fresh and glowing. Plus I love sitting down afterwards for a bite of fruit and beautiful tea to further unwind. I particularly love pregnancy massages here, so Bodhi is the ultimate if you are expecting or to gift someone who is.

Choosing favourites is never easy, but here’s my little go-to list! For fashion, I love supporting WA designers like Meraki, Morrison, Empire Rose, SIR, and One Fell Swoop. Hyperluxe is my pick for fitness gear, while ChaChi and Elle Boutique are my fashion faves. When it comes to homewares, I’m obsessed with Loam and Natalie Jayne Interiors, and I always make a point to pop into La Luna. For beauty, Heartwood wins for both treatments and products, and Holly Garvey is my go-to for flawless makeup.
Ok, I had to choose three because if you’re anything like me, my style is constantly changing, I love trying different styles, so I’m always jumping between different stores. My top three would be SIR, Morrison, and Meraki. SIR is my go-to for modern, timeless everyday pieces, and I’m a bit obsessed with their swimwear. Morrison never disappoints with beautiful summer sets and dresses in fun colours and prints — perfect for those stinking hot Perth days. And when it’s time to get a little fancy, Meraki is my pick for chic cocktail and event dresses. Alvin just knows what dresses suit you.
For those essential wardrobe staples that are truly an investment, head to SIR. If you haven’t got one of their blazers, then I would start with that. Their pieces are modern, timeless, and perfect for wearing across all seasons; trust me, you’ll get your mileage. I think Morrison is known as the place to go for beautiful designs and fabrics, especially if you’re after something colourful and fun. And when you have a special celebration, event, or just need that perfect little black dress, Alvin at Meraki has you covered.

My go-to boutiques are Department on Beaufort in Mount Lawley, Essencia in North Perth, FA Concept for vintage, and Hunter Store in Leederville for shoes. I love to mix Australian fashion with European influences, and Department and Essencia are perfect for that. Department has an amazing selection of my favourite Australian brands, along with a great range of overseas labels. Essencia focuses more on premium international labels, offering a highly curated selection that always feels unique. I’ve also developed a strong connection with the owners, which makes supporting them even more meaningful. FA Concept, with its vintage treasures from France and Italy, speaks to my Italian roots. And for shoes, Hunter Store in Leederville is unbeatable, with the best selection in Perth and an incredible variety of colours!
Department is excellent for up-to-date Australian and overseas fashion, while Essencia offers a premium selection of curated international labels. FA Concept is where you’ll find authentic European vintage gems, and at Hunter Store, you’ll discover the best selection of colourful, high-quality shoes in Perth.

Helen Swift Designer Consignments is the best curation of preloved designer pieces in Perth — you’re sure to find something special and unique every visit.
My go-to homewares and furniture store is Arrival Hall — a beautiful design store and cafe that blends Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics. Hot tip, try their Signature Hojicha while you have a browse.
Aymeric Futol
Dee Black Boutique is a consignment shop in Applecross — I adore being involved in circular fashion initiatives, which is why this place is my go-to. As the owner of a luxury vintage boutique myself, I enjoy supporting fellow entrepreneurs in the field. I’ve been purchasing items from her for years, and she has done the same for me. The boutique features stunning pieces from both Australian and European designers, ensuring you’ll discover something unique and stylish every time you visit. If you’re a fan of Camilla, you’ll find one of the largest selections in Western Australia here.
Dee, the owner, is incredibly sweet and kind. Her expertise in fashion is matched by her own stylish attire, and she always offers great advice.

My other favourite store besides my own Cabinet Noir is Man-tle located in Northbridge. The owners/power couple, Larz Harry and Aida Kim, have created a cool, unique store carrying Japanese brands mixing fashion and homewares.
Their own brand Man-tle is also worth buying. All are made in Japan and of the highest quality. They’ve created one of the best day-to-day, essential brands in the market right now. Most of their products are built to last. Lots of heavy-weight garments and very well constructed.
The brand goes for simplicity and timeless aesthetic rather than trend-based looks. It’s definitely one of the must-visit stores in Perth. Much love to them and what they’ve created.

Insurge in South Perth is my go-to because it offers a truly unique shopping experience. The boutique is filled with bold, one-of-a-kind pieces that you won’t find anywhere else. Hannah, the owner, has an incredible eye for selecting standout fashion items from all over the world.
Insurge is renowned for its statement dresses and accessories, sourced from around the globe, including Turkey, which gives the boutique its international flair. I recommend readers visit Insurge if they’re looking to be styled for a special event or simply want to elevate their wardrobe with unique, bold pieces. Insurge isn’t just about shopping — it’s about finding clothes that make you feel empowered and fabulous.
JoAnn – The Glam Whisperer
FA Concept Vintage on Pier St is a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind, unique vintage statement pieces, showcasing designs from various local and European designers.
I have scored many epic vintage finds here, such as a vintage Roberto Cavalli dress, a Chanel style tweed suit set, statement jewellery pieces, and a pair of handmade heels from Spain. What sets them apart is their personalised customer service. They even offer an in-store bag spa service where I’ve had my Chanel and Saint Laurent bags repaired and restored to perfection. They’ve also helped me customise a Versace belt to fit me perfectly.

Juliet, the owner of Broochella, is a patron of my vintage boutique and showcased several of my garments in a photo shoot for her brooch business launch. I had the pleasure of attending her event, where I was captivated by her custom-made brooches and her exquisite aesthetic. The packaging was truly remarkable, designed to protect and honour these unique pieces.
The assortment of brooches is impressive, featuring options like feathers, embroidery, embellishments, leather, and animal designs, available in various sizes to suit anyone looking to enhance their style.
Her time spent in Italy has greatly influenced her exceptional sense of fashion. Juliet offers daily tips on her socials on how to incorporate brooches into your outfits and is a strong proponent of vintage and sustainable fashion. Her ability to mix and match garments resonates with a diverse audience of followers. She encourages accessorising with brooches, but her advice goes beyond that.

My favourite makeup artist is TxC Collective in Subiaco. Courtney nails my inspiration picture while also taking into account my personal face details, leaving me feeling a million bucks every time I visit her.
My go-to dress hire is We Buy You Hire, which is located just north of the river. Every time I go, I always feel so welcome and love the selection of dresses that are available with the hot new trends always available!
