The Flying Scotsman will undergo a 12 month renovation and reopen.
One of WA’s leading hospitality teams, Three Pound Group, has acquired the iconic Beaufort Street Pub, The Flying Scotsman and will now spend the next 12 months executing a plan to completely renovate and breathe new life into this much loved local venue.
“We have started all of our current venues from scratch so this will be the group’s first renovation of a heritage-listed venue”, said Three Pound Group General Manager and Co-owner, Tim McLernon.
“The Flying Scotsman has always been a pub that our group has kept an eye on so when it became available, we jumped at the chance to acquire it and add it to our portfolio. We think it complements our existing assets very well and we know that we will be able to turn it into a venue that will suit the local community”
Locals can expect significant changes to the design of the venue and an upgrade of the alfresco area for a more comfortable experience. A refreshed menu will be headed by executive chef, Ben Keal and feature the modern-Australian pub classics the group is renowned for.
“Once renovations have been completed the owners believe The Flying Scotsman will morph into a “Must Go To” destination within the Perth Hospitality Scene.”
The Flying Scotsman, Caboose, Defectors, Velvet Lounge and Grumpies were one of the first major venues struck down by the coronavirus pandemic in April earlier this year
