Leycester Cory from Guys Grooming says he’s seeing a number of new trends emerging recently.
“(Perth) guys are looking for lower maintenance hairstyles for the warmer months as they spend more time outdoors. Easy to manage hair is big…with the messy look on top making a resurgence,” he said.
“Tight fades are still on trend…we are seeing them combined with more length on top. This gives height, contrast and style to an aggressive fade. “
When it comes to manscaping body hair, Laycester said waxing continues to be the way to go.
(Waxing) continues to grow as a preferred option for removing unwanted hair. Male waxing is very specific and is not targeted for training in the beauty industry so some guys have had bad experiences. Done correctly it is quick, lasts from 4 to 8 weeks and is nowhere near as painful as perceived.
Current Men’s hairstyles styles to consider
The Side Part: Combed in one distinct direction, slightly fluffed, with well-kept sides.
The Hard Part: Thin on the sides, hard, product heavy comb distinctly to the right or left.
The Pomp: A twist on the retro pompadour, height with lots of shine and wave.
The Fade: Hair tapers down to the skin, clean finish. Light on length up top.
Tousled Texture: Styled, windswept like hair with lots of product, short on the sides.
