  • Premiere events, including Gala Nights and Red Carpet Feature Film Premieres;
  • Q & A lunches at wineries and breweries throughout the region;
  • Intimate sidebar events, screening sets of themed short films;
  • General screenings of both Australian and French feature films;

CinefestOZ is a unique cinematic event on the Australian calendar, screening the best of new Australian and French film and competing to secure the most prominent film prize in the country. Last year, the event attracted record features and documentary entries with the $100,000 film prize being awarded to the film, Jirga.

The non-for-profit, homegrown event was established in 2008 to celebrate the French bicentenary of Antipodean exploration in Australia’s South West.
