Labor leader Anthony Albanese makes his way to Perth.

Labor leader Anthony Albanese will fly to Perth to continue his campaign trail after a bout of COVID-19 forced him into isolation.

Albanese will fly straight to WA from Sydney where the Labor party will formally launch its campaign over the weekend.

After being under fire from both the opposition and media sources over economic statistics and border protection policies, the Labor representative will need to ramp up his campaign in WA.

Albanese also has the support of former Labor Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd.

Rudd will be in Perth today to showcase his new book, ‘The Avoidable War – The Dangers of a Catastrophic Conflict between the US and Xi Jinping’s China’ at Curtin University.

On Saturday he will be on the campaign trail in the Federal seat of Perth, with his former adviser and now Labor MP Patrick Gorman.

Rudd will then join Albo on Sunday for the official start of his WA campaign.

Meanwhile opposition leader Prime Minister Scott Morrison has returned to Tasmania, photographed this morning at Lark Distillery.
