One of Perth’s most iconic venues is getting a fresh look.

Currently undergoing a massive refurbishment, Stables is adding to its rustic space and building a two-level expansion at the front which will include a street-front bistro and
basement bar.

Commuters to work can stop for morning coffee, or gourmet takeaway eats during their lunch from the street front bar, whilst CBD workers can enjoy after-work drinks in the
intimate cocktail bar down in the basement over a game of pool.

General Manager of Three Pound Group, Tim McLernon advises that this project will
revitalise the city’s west end.

“The West End has always hummed along nicely, this new expansion, combined with a broader hospitality offering in the West End will revitalise the area with increased foot traffic morning through to evening.”

“Stables will always hold a special place to me, it’s my first pub and the start of where I am now. I’m excited for the people of Perth to see what we have in store as well as tapping into the tourist market with the new Art Series opening next door.”

Tim McLernon has been involved in shaping and evolving Western Australia’s hospitality scene for over 20 years.

In 2013 he opened Stables, and in 2016 introduced Perth to The Reveley and Embargo Container Bar at Elizabeth Quay. Most recently he opened The Camfield, Australia’s largest pub next to the new Optus Stadium.

The venue expansion is expected to be finished by October 1st.

The extension will increase capacity from 500 to 675, just in time to welcome new guests for the opening of Perth’s only, Art Series Hotel.
