New look Newport to kick off Summer 20/21.

The Freo classic has a new look and will be bringing bigger and better Newport vibes for you to kick into summer 20/21.

To make sure you do summer right and do FREO right here are 10 reasons why you need to race over to the Newport ASAP.

Tiki Bar

Step off the streets of Fremantle into this exotically themed Tiki Bar – packed to the brim with 80 unique rums from all around the world.

The bartenders know what’s what when it comes to this specific tipple, so have no fear – you’re in good hands. Order up something tropical, like a Mai Tai, or let our bartenders take you on a journey tasting the different rums on offer. The lush vibes of the Tiki Bar will have you feeling transported to a far away island – something we’re all gagging for at the moment!.

Outdoor Courtyard

The weather is heating up, which means cashing in as much time as possible in the sun – and there’s no better place to do that than the glorious outdoor courtyard, sitting pretty in the back of The Newport.

Yes, you can order up and devour a delicious fishbowl in the sunny courtyard – it’s got a huge bar, so don’t fret. There’s heaps of places to perch up, take in the street art and enjoy some ToastFace Grillah goodies, a cold bev and even snap some gorgeous pics from the gram – the mini cactus garden is bloody adorable and a lil bit instagrammable. Keep an eye out for works by ArtbyRow and Amok Island lining the laneway.

Sunday Sessions

Sunday funday!

The Newport is bringing a massive new Sunday sesh offering to the streets of Freo – watch this space, it’s gonna be a spicy one.

Head over THIS SUNDAY from 11AM for their Launch to Summer party, the ultimate way to welcome in the warmer months. Local legend DJ Bamm B will be pumping out killer tunes all day and night alongside Kombi Klub DJs, the open-aired courtyard will be in full swing, Toastface Grillah will be grillin up a storm, the bartenders will be shaking up a cocktails and fishbowls aplenty.

This absolute rager will span out across all 4 bars and the courtyard – you won’t want to miss this one.

All the details here.

Karaoke

New look Newport - Karaoke

We’re calling it – The Newports private karaoke rooms are the best (and only) in Fremantle.

The perfect way to kick off a big night with the crew, celebrate a special occasion or just get everyone together for some fun – head over here to book. Whilst it’s not free to book, the moolah is given back to your group to spend on booze at the bar – cha-ching!

If you’re after free karaoke, The Newport team have got you sorted – the main room has a mic, a stage, a bar and a crowd to sing to for those feeling real brave.

Cocktails & Fishbowls

When the venue has this many different rooms, it’s only right to hop from spot to spot and try all the bevs on offer.

It would be a mistake to head into the Tiki Beat Bar and not order up one of the lip-smacking cocktails their expert mixologists are shaking up – like the Southside Plantation, a delicious blend of Plantation Pineapple Rum, Midori, Passionfruit and fresh lime.

If you’re heading to The Newport, it’s basically criminal to not try their famous fishbowl cocktails – perfect for sharing with mates, or tackling on your lonesome (for those who are truly thirsty).

It’s simple, we’ll break these bad boys down by colour – Blue is full of Smirnoff Vodka, Alize and blue Curacao and known around town as a nineties dream. Red is THE party starter – loaded with peach schnapps, strawberry, orange and cranberry and topped with enough Smirnoff Vodka to send you flying.

Kombi Klub

Taking over the back room and courtyard, new kid on the block Kombi Klub cooks up the hottest Saturday night dance floor in Fremantle.

This ultimate dance party comes in blazing with their gang of Kombi Klub DJs to drop the biggest and best tracks in the bespoke Kombi DJ booth.

ToastFace Grillah on the grill

Feeling at a loss with ToastFace closing in Perth, the Kings of Toasties – ToastFace Grillah are now on  the hot plates Freo side, serving up the best ooey gooey toasties from the Newport kitchen.

Whether you’re a fan of the classics, filled with cheese and served pipping hot – or something a bit more adventurous, like the Return of the Mac – elbow pasta topped with creamy three-cheese sauce and black truffle oil – there’s something for everyone here.

Feeling like some pub grub? These legends have you covered – order up some loaded fries (we recommend the beef, chilli and cheese), buffalo chicken wings, mac and cheese bites served up with truffle oil or the spicy jalapeno poppers, paired perfectly with a cold frothy beer in the sunny courtyard.

The Shack

New Look Newport - The Shack

Love shack baby, and we bloody love the Newports newly refurbished Shack!

Decked out with full island vibes and it’s own fully stocked bar, The Shack is the perfect spot for hangs with the gang. Serving up the yummiest bevs port side – you’ve gotta pop in and let the bartenders knock your socks off with a deadly Long Island Iced Tea.

Live music in the front bar

Live, loud and seriously cool – it’s always awesome when venues mix up the live entertainment and The Newport does not disappoint there.

The musical talent that takes the stage every weekend brings the best vibes, pumping up the crowd and encouraging them to join in! The front bar dance floor becomes a serious party when the band takes the stage, so grab a bev and get around it.

Always ON – Free entry

The sweetest part of all? Entry is ALWAYS free.

That’s right, no need to pay an entry free to this awesome venue, so round up your gang and race over for an afternoon of live music, banging beats, delectable feeds, karaoke booths, huge drinks and seriously good vibes.
