New Years Eve in Perth is a special time.

Many of us will celebrate with close friends and family at home or out at venues across the city and elsewhere in Western Australia. New Years Eve is a wonderful time to celebrate the year gone and a time for optimism and hope for the year ahead.

New Years Eve in Perth – View from East Perth of midnight fireworks.

Our guide will tell you when and where to look at 11.59pm as the big countdown to midnight in Perth begins.

There will be fireworks from Burswood at Crown, Applecross at the Raffles, Cannington at the Greyhounds, Gloucester Park at the Trotts; Mindarie, Rockingham, City Beach on the coast as well as Mandurah.

Outside of Perth metro, there will be fireworks at midnight in Bunbury, Albany, Esperance, Pemberton and Dampier.

Events – New Years Eve Perth

Most events are sold out well in advance, there’s some major events you can enjoy at the last minute.

Gloucester Park

The traditional New Years Eve event at the East Perth ‘Trotts’ is back on. With the family friendly event back for New Years Eve in Perth after a hiatus.

Northbridge

The City of Perth hosts family friendly celebrations in the Perth entertainment precinct again this New Years Eve. Street performances and live music from 5.30pm at the Perth Cultural Centre and Northbridge Piazza.

New Years Eve Perth – Northbridge

Perth Zoo

The Streets Happy Zoo Year. Gates open at 3.30pm for a kids party and silent disco, countdown celebrations at 8pm.

Mindarie Marina

8.30pm celebrations kick off with live DJs, countdown and fireworks.

Mandurah Foreshore

Amusement rides, entertainment, DJs and fireworks at 9pm and midnight.

Rockingham

Free Trains

Food vendors, DJs, entertainment and 9pm and midnight fireworks.

The WA government will run trains and busses at no cost after 12 midnight.

113 extra train rides, 117 more bus trips and additional ferry services to run after midnight to get you home safe and secure without the need to drive.
