Pubs across Perth are in a promotional and PR battle to flog the cheapest pint of beer in town, and we welcome these refreshing developments.
Yes, 2018 is shaping up as a Perth beer renaissance year.
Earlier, it was The Village in Subiaco that set the price battle with $4 pints for the month of January.
Before long, The Vic Hotel up the road went to $3.50 to keep the beer lovers happy, with Little Creatures Rogers and Swan Draft.
The Claremont Hotel went for $5 pints of Matilda Bay Fat Yak to keep them happy.
Now, the favourite haunt of any good UWA student, Chelsea Pizza Co. in Nedlands has gone to new Perth beer price lows.
$3 bucks for a pint of Chelsea larger – their in house special.
Famous for it’s pizza, the Chelsea Pizza Co. management won’t win without a fight.
The Vic Hotel has slammed their competition, offering $2.50 pizza slices on the menu from 9pm through to 11pm to keep you from jumping in an Uber down to Stirling Highway.
Bevan Marwick, the Vic Hotel publican told AM 6PR he was ready to fight.
“Mate, they’ve blown us out of the water,” Marwick said.
“You mess with our pints, we mess with your pizza.”
