Perth’s Gina Rinehart remains Australia’s richest person, with an estimated wealth of $14.02 billion in 2015, according to the latest BRW Rich List.

That’s despite Gina’s wealth tumbling some $6 billion from 2014 thanks to lower iron ore prices.

Perth is home to three of Australia’s top 10 richest people, with Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest named Australia’s ninth richest person, down about $3 billion.

Stan Perron is ranked at 10th in the list for 2015. Perron made his fortune from mining, property (including ownership of Central Park in Perth’s CBD) and various other investments, including a cut in WA’s Toyota dealerships.

The list comes the same day as a court decision gave Gina’s daughter, Bianca, the keys to the Rinehart family trust worth about $5 billion.

Other Perth billionaires to make the 2015 list include sisters Leonie Baldock and Alexandra Burt.

Leonie and Alexandra are newcomers to the BRW rich list, with a combined wealth estimated at $1.7 billion in 2015.

The Perth billionaires are the daughters of the late Michael Wright. His father, Peter Wright, was one of Lang Hancock’s business partners. The late Lang Hancock is the father of Gina Rinehart and is considered the founding father of WA’s lucrative iron ore industry.

The other well known Perth billionaire on the list is Angela Bennett, the daughter of the late Peter Wright.

Other rich non-billionaire’s on the list include John Hughes (founder of John Hughes Group dealerships) and Philip Cardaci, Chairman of Mining and Construction services provider, CFC Group.
