Latest Perth coronavirus update sees WA record 0 new cases for the sixth day in a row.

Despite another 0 new cases overnight for the sixth day in a row, Mark McGowan today announced in is latest Perth coronavirus update that Phase 5 of COVID-19 restriction easing in Western Australia would be delayed.

Phase 5 will now be pushed back to at least August 15th, pushing back the date 14 days.

This phase would have seen the removal of 2sqm rule across the state and all other gathering restrictions and the 50% capacity rule for major venues and all kinds of major events will be able to take place in WA.

August 15th is still a tentative date only, with the government to provide clarity on whether it will proceed in advance of that date.
