Covering the latest Perth and Western Australia COVID-19 update for the week Monday 5th of October.

While Federal Budget, State Budget and WA’s Borders were all the talk this week in Perth, there has still been 6 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Western Australia with 13 active cases remaining in the state.

Last week, Western Australia peaked at 22 active cases due to Patricia Oldendorff crew members testing positive, however, there has since been a significant drop in new cases and active cases this week in the state.

Of the 6 new cases confirmed this week all are returning travellers to Perth from overseas – 5 cases were male aged in their 30s to 50s and 1 case was a female in her 30s.

All new cases are currently in hotel quarantine.

Western Australia COVID-19 numbers

  • Total cases: 692
  • Recovered: 670
  • Active cases: 11

This week 3,252 individuals were swabbed.

There have been 442,299 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 75,650 were from regional WA.
