Latest Perth COVID-19 update from the weekend sees 2 new cases confirmed with 15 active cases still in Western Australia.

Perth has seen a further 2 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed over the weekend, resulting in 15 active cases now remaining in the state.

The two new cases were confirmed on Sunday one female and one male, are in hotel quarantine and are related to international travel.

Patricia Oldendorff update

In a statement released over the weekend, the Department of Health has declared the Patricia Oldendorff vessel outbreak to now be over.

The 12 crew members who were quarantined in the Hedland Hotel were transferred to the vessel, anchored off Port Hedland, Saturday morning.

18 of the 21 crew members have now recovered from the virus.

There are three remaining crew who are not yet cleared and have be transferred to Perth via charter flight and are now in hotel quaratine.

There have been 442,299 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 75,650 were from regional WA.
