Groundswell Festival – WA’s most action-packed sand and land festival returns to Scarborough.

Update: NEW DATES are Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 October, 2021

If Groundswell Festival isn’t on your radar, we’ve got a few questions… Fire up the group chat, whip out your calendar and book the Monday off work – WA’s most action-packed sand and land festival returns to Scarborough this October for 3 huge days, and we’ve found 10 reasons why you simply can’t miss it!

Cold Nips early morning dip

The super rad Cold Nips crew are bringing their early morning excitement to Scarborough for 3 days of dippin! Set your alarms for this one and race over from 5.45am across Friday, Saturday and Sunday for an icy, energising sunrise dip, focused around connection, nature, discomfort and finding meaning.

Registrations are essential but everyone can join, head over HERE and sign up now!

The 78 Hub

When you’re not catching all the epic action on the water, on the sand, in the bowl or under the tipi’s, the 78 Hub will be abuzz each day with free activities, games, vinyl sellers, vintage fashion stalls, photo booths, live street art, henna artists, tarot readers and Perth’s best food trucks to keep you going all weekend.

Make sure to pop over Saturday and Sunday for free t-shirt tie dying workshops and a temporary tattoo parlour thanks to the legends at Drug Aware.

Street Sport, water sport and more sport!

No matter your flavour, Groundswell has got you covered.

The entire weekend is chocked full of surfing, skateboarding, 3×3 basketball, BMX, beach volleyball and soccer – even if spectating is more your sport, you won’t want to be anywhere else across the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Race down to the water for two huge surfing comps, watch the Scarborough Skate Bowl get absolutely shredded at the Sunday Skateboarding Bowl comp, perch up courtside for the 3×3 Basketball comp and make sure to catch the exhilarating BMX Bowl comp on Saturday and BMX Stunt Show on Sunday!
