Maybe you’re entering your final years of high school and weighing up your university options, or maybe you’re looking to study in your later years and seeking some advice. No matter what stage you might be at, the choice of where to attend and what courses to take can seem overwhelming.

Enter Explore UWA Day.

Held on Sunday August 28th from 10 am – 3 pm, it’s a day filled with opportunities to discover different courses, tour the campus, talk to students or grads, and have a little bit of fun on the way.  There is no better day to explore all your options and learn more about campus life.

Here are our 7 top tips to make sure you get the most out of Explore UWA Day – write these down!

Plan ahead

You’ll have to master planning ahead before embarking on your student journey, so why not start now?

With no shortage of options to dive into on the day, we recommend going in with a solid plan of what you need to know, where you need to go and what activities you want to participate in.

Perhaps you really want to get help with your application and understand the different pathways, or you decide you want to talk to some students, grads, and academics about the numerous study options available.

Have a look at the course and career options online before the day rolls around so you have a starting point for where you need to go and make sure to register so you can get hold of the full-day event program when it hits and get planning.

Take a tour

Keen to discover what campus life is like at UWA? There’s a tour for that.

Join in on a tour and explore the vibrant campus and learning facilities to really immerse yourself in the UWA student experience. Here you can also find out about scholarships, campus accommodation, or the 400 social sports teams and some 160 clubs and societies you could be part of – because that’s what uni life is all about!

Attend an info session or two

Now is your chance to make the most of a whole array of information sessions throughout the day that will have you clued up on absolutely everything and anything.

Sessions will include everything from admission entry pathways and how to apply for university to the course and career options, how UWA can help you land your dream job, and everything you need to know about choosing a course that’s right for you.

Come with a list of questions

Avoid that moment where you leave a place forgetting to ask that one question by preparing everything you want to know in advance.

Think up what you want to know from the students, the graduates, and the leading academics, and write it all down so you can tick it off throughout the day and make sure you leave with everything you came for.

Soak up the atmosphere
