It’s touted as one of the biggest sporting events of the year and is known just as much for the half-time show as it is for the game itself. That’s right, we’re talking about the Super Bowl.
Every year, the popularity of the game in Australia increases more and more. A large driving force of that has been Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, bringing in more new and younger fans than ever before. With the growth in fans has come a growth in Perth Super Bowl parties, like the one being hosted at Optus Stadium which will be the biggest Super Bowl watch party Perth has ever seen.
Perth’s biggest Super Bowl watch party

This year, Optus Stadium said “hold my beer” and has proceeded to plan out what will be the biggest Super Bowl watch party that Perth has seen.
They’re hosting it in the Sports Lounge at Optus Stadium with access to the seating bowl so you can also watch the game and half-time show on the Stadium Super Screens. It’ll also be live-streamed on all the screens in the Sports Lounge so no matter where you are, you won’t miss a second of the action. There’ll also be a live DJ to up the level of entertainment, a roaming photobooth, and some really sweet door prizes up for grabs.
This year’s half-time show will feature American rapper, Kendrick Lamar, which is sure to make it one of the best half-time shows yet. Last time Kendrick performed at the Super Bowl was the Super Bowl LVI halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige.
What’s included & when is the Watch Party
Super Bowl LIX will be on Monday, February 10th with an early kick-off time of 7:30 am AWST.
With this year’s Super Bowl being held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, Optus Stadium has crafted an all-inclusive food and beverage package that brings together some of the best bites from Louisiana and America in general. We’re talking buffalo chicken wings, savoury waffles with fried chicken, chilli dogs, and much more.
If all of that sounds like a great way to spend a Monday, then this is the place for you this Super Bowl.
Who’s likely to be playing

We’re a few weeks away from knowing exactly which teams will be lining up for the Super Bowl; however, we can certainly make our predictions on who will be playing.
2024 was a year where favourites ran supreme and we don’t see that changing too much in early 2025. As such, we’re putting all of our chips on it being a Detroit Lions versus Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl.
The Chiefs have made four of the last five Super Bowls, winning three of them — including the last two. They have a big fanbase, albeit a polarised one, thanks to Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions — who have been dominant all year — are one of only four teams to have never made a Super Bowl.
NFL fans, who are you picking to make the big dance?
