Two of Australia’s finest are heading to Rottnest Island for a special Sunday session performance at Hotel Rottnest on January 12th.
SummerSalt is heading for Rottnest Island
SummerSalt is known for pairing Australia’s best artists with some of the country’s most scenic locations and this WA iteration is no exception. Think sunshine, ice-cold drinks, and live music from Pete Murray and Eskimo Joe in a spectacular seaside destination.
Pete Murray
Renowned for his emotive and compelling songwriting, Pete Murray continues to be one of Australia’s most cherished and respected singer-songwriters, with more than 1.2 million records sold across his career so far.
After starting from humble beginnings in 2002, Murray has achieved three ARIA chart-topping albums, and a whopping 17 ARIA Award nominations. He’s easily one of the country’s most iconic artists consistently producing music that’s become the soundtrack to the lives of many.
Eskimo Joe
While successfully straddling the line between commercial success and managing to keep their alternative music roots secure, Eskimo Joe has racked up a long list of impressive accomplishments.
With six studio albums and sales in excess of 750,000 in Australia alone, the band has seen three of those albums debut at number one on the ARIA charts. So far, Eskimo Joe has brought home three International Songwriting Awards, 11 WAMI Awards, and eight ARIA’s, as well as 35 ARIA nominations — a number only surpassed by Silverchair, Powderfinger, Kylie Minogue, and John Farnham.
The McCredie Brothers
After captivating audiences while busking in Byron Bay over the past two summers, The McCredie Brothers couldn’t resist the call to come together and create something special. With their catchy melodies and heartfelt storytelling, this folk, pop singer-songwriting duo might just blow you away.
